Middle East 1948-2006 (MDE) is an operational level wargame that covers combat in the Middle East from 15 May 1948 to TBD 2006. The MDE map is 476 x 170 hexes covering the Nile River to Pakistan, and Southern Turkey to Qatar. There are TBD villages, towns and cities on the map. Each hex is approximately 10 miles (center-to-center), and each turn is one historical day, except for selected scenarios (9, 10, 16) which will have a one month turn when the area is quiescent. The ground units are primarily brigades and regiments level. Air and naval units are also included in the game. There are 16 scenarios in the game, and there is a text file method of building your own scenarios.
