1. What PC platforms do Schwerpunkt games run on?
RGW, AGW, MDE and WWII-E will run on Windows
98 and XP. We were told by our customers that they will run on Windows
Vista, but the Help and music will not work. We are looking at what it
will take to make them Vista compatible.
2. What do I do if all I see are grey maps?
This will occur with RGW if it
does not get enough virtual memory from Windows in order to load all of
its maps and graphics. Set your display resolution to 16 bit colors.
This is done by selecting "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel",
"Display", and "Settings". then change the Color Quality to Medium (16
bit). Click on "Apply".
In some cases, this is not enough. Try selecting "Start", "Settings",
"Control Panel", "Systems", and Performance "Settings" under the
Advanced tab. Select "Adjust for Best Performance" instead of "Let
Windows Choose...".
If these fail, then adjust your virtual memory to a larger size. Note
that AGW, MDE and WWII-E will not have This problem, only RGW version
1.x.
3. What do I do to end a combat?
If the combat has not been
initiated by selecting the defender's hex after selecting attackers,
then you can right click to get an operation pop-up menu, and then
select "Cancel". If the attack has been initiated and the defender's
hex is still highlighted in red, then click on the hex to end the
Combat.
4. What are Schwerpunkt's plans for future games?
We are in development of Middle East 1948 -
2006 (MDE). Our next game after that is World War II - Europe (WWII-E).
No dates for new game released have been determined.
